Dialectic Announces New Board Members

Summer 2019 – Kansas City, MO

Dialectic is pleased to announce the appointment of four new board members: Rosana Privitera Biondo, Amy Simmons, Michael F. Lorenz and Marcus Howell. Each new member has a wealth of experience in different areas of business and we are excited to have them join us. We look forward to the viewpoints these talented business leaders will bring to our board. We would like to thank outgoing members Donald Huntington and Steven Hopkins for their years of dedicated service.

Rosana Privitera Biondo is the President of Mark One Electric, a specialty electrical contracting firm headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri. Under her leadership Mark One has worked on some of the most recognizable projects in Kansas City, including the World-Renowned Kauffman Center for the Preforming Arts, the Kansas City International Airport, and the KC Streetcar. Their work has led to them being named the #1 Top Area Electrical Contractor by the Kansas City Business Journal. She devotes her time to support women in construction through her work with WCOE, WBDC and WBENC. Ms. Privitera Biondo serves on numerous boards, including the Kansas City Area Development Council, the Economic Development Council and the National Electrical Contractors Association, and has been listed as one of the Power 100 by the Kansas City Business Journal. We are honored to have such an accomplished businesswoman join our board and welcome her vision for our continued growth.

Amy Simmons is Director, Global Talent Acquisition at Abbott Rapid Diagnostics. She is a global human resources leader with deep experience in the engineering, high tech and medical devices industries. Her work with HNTB, Garmin, HP and Carter & Burgess has earned her a stellar leadership reputation, successfully operationalizing motivated, engaged global teams who deliver bottom line results. Ms. Simmons is a passionate business strategist with a clear understanding of human resources’ influence on a company’s vision, mission and strategic goals. Her broad experience with all aspects of human resources will be an important asset as we grow our firm and the ESOP for our employees.

Michael F. Lorenz PE is Vice-President and leads the management team at Jorban-Riscoe Associates, a manufacturer representative firm serving the HVAC industry. He has over 30 years of mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) engineering experience. Mr. Lorenz served in a leadership role at Clark Richardson and Biskup Consulting Engineers for over 20 years, leading the strategic direction that created growth at six offices around the US. Currently, he is working to streamline processes and implement business-wide systems that will create efficiencies by saving work and decreasing costs. His years of leadership and experience will be an asset to our board as we continue to analyze and improve our business processes and technologies.

Marcus Howell is Vice President of Business Development at Dialectic. With over 20 years in the construction and engineering industries, his expertise includes heavy commercial, healthcare, retail, entertainment and more. He has been involved in all aspects of construction and design processes, giving him an edge in business development since he visualizes projects from a client perspective. Marcus is on the front lines for Dialectic building relationships with clients. His dedication to expanding Dialectic’s influence and insights into diverse markets, opens business opportunities that will guide the vision of our firm forward.
