The future of education is being built every day. Technology in and out of the classroom provides diverse learning opportunities for students around the country. In the classroom, educators need spaces that support evolving teaching methods – and they need trusted design partners to create these facilities.

In a supportive and inspiring environment, learning is fun. Specialized spaces including hearing and speech labs, auditoriums, libraries and outdoor play areas must meet the needs of early childhood educators and their young students. But classrooms aren’t one size fits all. As students grow, they need specialized environments for specific curricula. Mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) engineers design custom solutions for culinary arts, sports medicine, science labs, computer coding hubs and TV/radio broadcast studios to meet their unique requirements and equipment standards.

Campus communities around the county are incorporating more and more amenities and collaborative environments to meet the needs of students and educators. Schools are upgrading classrooms with the latest technology, restoring historic buildings, building or remodeling multifamily structures and approving mixed-use construction. These spaces are differentiators as students look for and expect state-of-the-art facilities.

Success Story: The Capital Grille

JKRP Architects called on Dialectic to solve a plethora of unique challenges as The Capital Grille moved to a new location in Kansas City’s Country Club Plaza district. The 100-year old building previously housed a retail location, requiring significant renovations. The new design featured two kitchens on different levels of the building, bringing another level of complexity to the project. Consistent communication led to proactive planning and quick resolutions to deliver a world-class customer experience.
