Designing spaces for the hospitality industry demands experience beyond hotel rooms and event venues. Dialectic’s experienced MEP engineers successfully balance the industry’s sometimes competing demands – a space that inspires guests while also functioning efficiently and cost-effectively.

When guests visit a hotel or event venue, the last thing they want to notice is how the space functions. Hospitality spaces are designed to invite and embrace, but functionality is critical in driving a successful visitor experience. MEP designs play a critical role in that, working behind the scenes to make sure every facet functions seamlessly and invisibly to visitors.

In addition, hospitality spaces require complex MEP designs, well beyond a single hotel room. They can function like small towns and include kitchens, recreation facilities, swimming pools, concert halls and more. Our engineers work in every sector across the country, so they’re able to bring a holistic view to any project.

Increasingly, customers are searching for hotels that reflect their values for sustainable living. They want green facilities committed to energy-efficient practices. We are MEP industry leaders in sustainability, including LEED certification, energy modeling and audits, and utility optimization. Our experience in sustainable construction is vast and we approach it as we do all our work, with a commitment to communication and collaboration. We want our clients to meet their sustainability goals in a cost-effective manner – and have a clear understanding of what that looks like.

In the end, we all want the same thing: for guests to enjoy a space so much, they aren’t thinking about what’s happening behind the scenes.

Success Story: The Capital Grille

JKRP Architects called on Dialectic to solve a plethora of unique challenges as The Capital Grille moved to a new location in Kansas City’s Country Club Plaza district. The 100-year old building previously housed a retail location, requiring significant renovations. The new design featured two kitchens on different levels of the building, bringing another level of complexity to the project. Consistent communication led to proactive planning and quick resolutions to deliver a world-class customer experience.
